Mother's day...

In Sweden we celebrate Mother's day the 25:th of May. We didn't do so much, but to play at the beach and have a "fika" with coffe and cake together with my dear Mom, made it a memorable day without the stress of having a big dinner or go somewhere. In the morning I also got a very nice gift from my lovely husband. He got me a special Mother's day birthstone ring. It is a custom made ring in white gold with the girl's birth stones (Månadsstenar) and also mine and Jareds. So our family is represented with jewels. The idea with birthstones are coming from the Gregorian calender, where all months were represented with a different gemstone. (Not always the same as the Zodiac stones). We have red Garnet (January), pink Tourmaline or Opal (October) and yellow Citrine (November), so I got a pretty and colorful ring with a lot of love within it...   And I must say a good idea for a gift to a mother!
