Our day...

This is our day in pictures! Once again it started with a snowy morning then it warmed up so we got introduced to the "Montana Mud"... All in all I can summarize this day as messy.
One good thing is that Jamie never got worse..now she just coughs and has a runny nose. Another good thing is that we didnt have to wear so warm clothes and no gloves...there's hope for spring! And..I am also making plans for this weekends adventure which hopefully includes snow, sun and good food....

Bad night..

Our little Jamie is sick again. Last week she had the three-day-fever exanthem, and yesterday she started to feel sick again. I guess it' s easier to catch a new infection because her immune system is already a little stressed.. And the fact that the young ones are suppose to get many infections the first two years..

Anyway, yesterday evening she just had a little runny nose and she felt almost like normal, no fever.  After she slept for a few hours she woke up and did barely breathe. It was a new kind of struggle not the fast shallow breathing she has had before when it's been bad. This time it felt that she had problems breathing out and did barely inhale at all..I got so scared.. She had a very stuffed nose so she got nose spray and I took her outside for a while and then she started to get her normal breath back again.. She had a lot of mucus when she coughed so I think it was a combination.of that and the stuffed nose. I held her sitting upright for half the night and her breathing stayed normal and calm, so I put her down again with her head leaning up but after a little while she woke up again, sat up and it was the same with barely breathing again... We prepared to go to the ER, but tried to see if it helped with cold air and calming her down again and it did help. She got better and slept the rest of the night..I didn't.. It's scary with "new" problems when they are sick.. After the first year I got confident in looking for signs of when it's time to seek medical help etc. counting the breathing and check for other vital signs, but this was so different.. Almost sounded like lyringitis ("falsk krupp") well we have to wait and see if we take her to the doctor today. This morning she's alot more tired than usually,  but no fever and at least she drank a little...

A mean cutie...

Last night I got a new pet! This one was a little too dead and sticky for my taste... I had never seen a Porcupine before (or done any studying about it) so it was interesting! I didn't know that spiky quills were hidden under their long protection hair... I thought the long hair was poky and used for defense. I can say that their quills are sharp as needles! More interesting facts from Wikipedia. (Sv. Nordamerikansk trädpiggsvin).

Time to ski...

Friday, me and Natalie went skiing!! The school had a skiday so we went with the Swanz familly to Showdown. Showdown is a smaller skiarea about 2 h west of the ranch. It has 4 lifts and 30 + slopes. Half of them more advanced, half green and blue... It was a very convenient place to go ski with a child for the first time, not so big and a kid friendly atmosphere. The facilities might need some updating but they serve their purpose and it's good for schools to go ski here.

Natalie got to go to the skischool for a couple of hours. It was a very good start to do that, even if she at first was a little to eager to put both skiis on and go...  I stayed and watched her and it was a memorable moment to see her skiing for the first time!!

After skischool, me and Natalie were hitting the big slope... We actually took the chairlift up ( can't believe she dared to so quick...it) and then we could enjoy a long and perfect slope with plenty of time to learn all the way down to the valley. I can definately say that after a few rounds of "holding" Natalie (at little kid knee level) with my skipole, my legs and back were dead... BUT she learned a lot and did good!
( ♡ Pappa nu vet jag hur sega dina lårmuskler var under åren du åkte så med mig!)

We had a wonderful day and ended it over dinner, wine and laughter together with the Swanz's. Both me and Natalie really enjoyed having a day just the two of us and Jamie had a fun day alone with Daddy! Now I must plan another trip before this season is over...Showdown is worth another visit and then (with more skiing for Mama) we have Bridger Bowl and fashionable Big Sky a 2 h drive from the ranch!

(Ps. I know it was bad that she didnt wear a helmet,  but they were out of them! So before next time we have to buy one!)

Navy...

I can't get enough of all pretty navyblue and nautical clothes...♡ My girls definately have more stripes and blue shades then anything else in the closet!

Old buildings...

Took some pictures at the ranch... Here are some favourites. I'm really an amateur when it comes to taking pictures and edit them..but I try and I practise to get better.
